About Maxine

Born and raised in the Yukon, Maxine Horner draws some of her inspiration from her early years in the north.  Although Vancouver was where she lived for many years she now makes her home in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.  

She specializes in acrylics on canvas, and defines her work as being "loosely realistic."

Maxine has won awards from the Interior Provincial Exhibition in Armstrong BC, and the Peoples Choice Award, Pearl Ellis Gallery in Comox BC.  She shows her paintings locally.
